Looking for the best Zara perfumes for men? That’s exactly what I’ve been doing too, and I’ve found some incredible scents for you to add to your (or your partner’s) bathroom cabinet. Zara is best known for its fashion-forward clothing, but their ever-expanding fragrance line is something both women and men love. With over 50 masculine fragrances, the quality is too good for its affordable price points (but don’t tell Zara that).
Their scents are considered to be excellent dupes for famous designer fragrances, but at a much smaller cost. Rather than paying nearly £100 for a cologne, you can expect to pay just £12.99 and get a similar scent to one of your favourite luxury perfumes. Perfume is a very personal thing, and our choice of fragrance can say a lot about how we feel. Personally, I have different perfume preferences for different moods.
Although the brand’s perfumes have been around for quite some time, they have gained increased attention recently, with over 6.2billion views on TikTok at the time of writing and countless videos raving about them. As well as the women’s fragrances, many of the men’s colognes are dupes for luxury scents. Zara’s Universal Oud is basically the same as one of the world’s best men’s fragrances, Tom Ford’s Oud Wood.
I visited the Oxford Street Zara store recently to do some research and I found a number of Zara’s best perfumes for men. The brand does have a habit of discontinuing some fragrances, so if you find one you like, I recommend getting a few bottles so you’re not disappointed later on.

Zara perfume prices
Zara’s perfumes for men vary. Starting from roughly £12.99 for 100ml for fragrances like Gold, Silver, Seoul, London Savile Row Mayfair, Florence, Lisboa and 800 Black, the prices rise for perfumes including Oud Vibrant Leather (£15.99 for 100ml), Night Pour Homme II Sport and Tobacco Collection (both £17.99 for 100ml), and For Him and Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes (both £22.99 for 100ml). Overall, Zara perfumes for men are all under £30.
How long do Zara perfumes last?
When you’re shopping for scents, you want to make sure they don’t disappear into thin air an hour after spritzing them on. Luckily that isn’t the case with Zara’s perfumes. They last roughly 4-6 hours, depending on the scent you choose. As they’re so cheap, they’re not as long-lasting as expensive scents. If you want to ensure you keep smelling your best, spritz it every 6 hours.
Pros and cons of Zara perfume
Zara’s scents are often talked about due to their affordable prices and familiar scents – but of course, every beauty product has pros and cons.
Pros
1. Affordability
It’s safe to say that Zara’s perfumes never break the bank, whether you’re shopping for a 30ml or 100ml bottle. As mentioned, their scents start from roughly £12.99. This makes them accessible to a broad audience and they’re good value for money too.
2. Variety
Zara has a huge number of perfumes for people from every gender. Whether you’re looking for a fruity, fresh or woody scent, the high street giant will meet the brief. They’re also regularly changing up their offerings and sometimes release limited edition scents, such as the Barbie perfume, which keeps their selection new and exciting.
3. Familiar fragrances
Many of Zara’s perfumes are inspired by designer fragrances, including those from Chanel, Dior, Tom Ford and many more. While I’d love to spend hundreds on a scent, it’s not realistic, so Zara is a real life saver.
4. Quality for the price
Granted, Zara’s perfumes aren’t the best quality on the market but at such a cheap price, they’re pretty good. They’re well balanced and smell undeniably delicious, so they’re pretty good gifts too!
Cons
1. Longevity
One of the most common criticisms Zara faces when it comes to their perfumes is that they tend to wear off much more quickly than higher-end (and more expensive) fragrances. Many report that Zara’s perfumes fade after a few hours and must be reapplied frequently to ensure a strong smell throughout the day.
2. Quality
Zara perfumes are known to be made with synthetic ingredients. In comparison, luxury brands tend to use higher concentrations of natural essential oils. This means Zara’s scents are far less complex than their more expensive counterparts, which is to be expected considering the cheaper prices.
3. Once they’re gone, they’re gone
Zara tends to discontinue some of their most popular scents, which can be really annoying when you’ve found one you really love. For that reason, it might be worth stocking up!
4. Sustainability concerns
It’s no secret that Zara is a fast fashion brand. It’s been widely criticised for its lack of concern for the environment due to the fact it mass produces fashion products and favours quantity over quality. While this isn’t specific to its perfumes, it’s a real concern for some who refuse to buy from fast fashion labels.
5. Not suitable for vegans
Zara doesn’t test on animals, but they don’t always label their perfumes as vegan. Without specific labelling, it’s really hard to confirm whether every product is vegan or not.

Zara Perfumes: FAQs
Still got questions about Zara’s perfumes? Below, you’ll find the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions.
Which Zara perfume smells the best for men?
Perfume is such a personal thing, but I can definitely tell you which are the most popular and which I love. Firstly, I absolutely love Vibrant Leather and it’s one of the brand’s bestselling scents. Created by perfumer Jérôme Epinett, it’s a woody fragrance with notes of bergamot, lemon, bamboo, leather, patchouli and papyrus. Tobacco Collection Rich Warm Addictive is another great scent that’s a dupe for Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille Oriental.
Which Zara cologne smells like Tom Ford?
There are a number of Zara colognes that smell like Tom Ford, including Tobacco Collection Rich Warm Addictive, which is a dupe for Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille Oriental. Zara’s Universal Oud (discontinued) is also a dupe for Tom Ford’s Oud Wood.
Do Zara perfumes last long?
Zara’s scents tend to last for around 4-6 hours, so if you want to keep your perfume fresh, you might want to re-apply it every few hours. It can be a little bit of a faff, but if you carry your Zara scents with you, a little spritz here and there is all it takes. You can spend more on luxury scents that last longer, but Zara’s perfumes are so much cheaper so it really depends on your priorities.
Which Zara fragrance smells like Creed Aventus?
Zara’s Vibrant Leather fragrance smells really similar to Creed’s Aventus. It has notes of bergamot, leather, and bamboo, just like the expensive designer cologne.
