What if you could make your own healthy peanut butter dog bone filling?
We’ve all seen (and perhaps bought) those yummy looking dog bones filled with ‘peanut butter’… or so they call it. The color is similar to PB, but its more of a jello texture. But you might be shocked at what other ingredients are in there.
(Hint hint, it’s not just wholesome peanut butter in that doggy bone! There are a slew of weird sounding ingredients that do not sound wholesome whatsoever, and that you may not want your dog snacking on.)
I know, I know, but your dog loves them and it keeps them occupied for hours…but don’t worry! We have the perfect peanut butter dog bone filling that your dog will loovve.
And, because we know how runny organic PB can be, we’ve made sure this peanut butter is non-runny and won’t drip out!
We promise your dog will be in love and you won’t have to worry about the ingredients, or the mess. Win, win.
See below for our super easy DIY peanut butter dog bone filling!
Peanut Butter Dog Bone Filling Recipe
INGREDIENTS
*Measurements depend on size of bone
3 partsOrganic Peanut Butter or Almond Butter
1partCoconut Flour
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine ingredients in a small bowl and stir together until you don’t see the flour. If you feel it is still too runny, add a little more coconut flour. Be sure not to use too much flour, we don’t want it to be really crumbly.
Take a spoon or icing knife and stuff it into the dog bone until it is tightly compact. You can put it in the freezer so they can enjoy it longer, or serve at room temperature.
Either way your dog will definitely enjoy it!

Love the coconut flour idea. I fill marrow bones (were raw and already gnawed on) and cow hooves with the mixture. Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze. My pups love them!
